I think I'm in love.

We had our first trip to Pa and Deedy's new camp this weekend. It is located in Lucedale on the Pascagoula River and it is oh so nice!! I couldn't ask for a better place to get some rest and spend some outdoor time. The thing that makes me most excited about it is the memories we will make with the girls. Pa and Deedy... you guys rock!!

The porch facing the river...

The view of the yard/sandbar...

The view from the yard...

It is on a huge sandbar. Can't wait till summer time.

Pa, Hunter, and Josie gathered sticks so we could have a bonfire to roast marshmallows.

Meme enjoyed her coffee on the porch.

Daisy was a country dog. She has always loved being out. Our only fear was a big white dog that Josie called a "wolf" next door. He came over and Daisy showed him who ruled Plum Bluff that day. He ran back home.

Sissy is such a good playmate and both of my girls are crazy about her.

Fisher didn't realize the gas tank was on "E"...

Joey always ends up here... and we aren't complaining!

This is what happens when you ride the 4-wheeler all over the sandbar with no extra gas on hand!!

That little speck of pink is Josie =)

The camp from the sandbar...

Colbie and the newest addition to Deedy and Pa's family... Harley.

Smores!!! Josie wasn't going to give in. When she heard the word "camp", fire and marshmallows came to her mind. I thought it was a great idea.

A lazy Sunday morning... Colbie was actually horrible all weekend, despite how she may look in these pictures =) She took the most expensive nap ever on Saturday (because we had to drive her around in the Yukon for an hour) due to a nap strike. However, if I hadn't taken that ride, I could not mark visiting  Buzzard Roost, Mississippi off of my bucket list. Yes, it's a real place... and it's actually beautiful!
Plus, you cannot put a price on a one year old's nap ;)

We also went to the Chevron Picnic in Hurley on Saturday. The girls had a blast, and so did I!

My favorite pic from the day... who would have thought we would ever stand in line to hold a chicken on our shoulder?!?

Colbie loved the petting zoo. My favorite was this pig because she wagged her tail and laid down when you pet her.

Colbie and Deedy's favorite was the mini horse!

And Josie's was the rabbits!

Crazy chicken!!

The girls liked watching this clown from a distance only. He made us a fish and a flower.

Josie going down the Tiger slide (or her undies).

Ice cream and cotton candy time!

So clean!

Colbie hitched a ride a lot of the time.

It took Josie a while to warm up to the idea of riding the horse, but once the day was over she said it was her favorite part. His name was Freckles. She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face the entire ride.

What a weekend! It really was so much fun, and I see another weekend very similar in the near future!
