This summer is as sweet as ever. May was a nice month, getting warmer but not smoldering yet! This morning, Joey spotted a turtle in our yard. We have lots of wildlife at the new place. So far we have encountered turtles, snakes, alligators, semi tame cats, armadillos, squirrels, baby birds, and we have our suspicions that we may have a raccoon! And yes, we live in a subdivision!!
They stared just like this for a long time in their skeebies...
Until Daisy Mae came to the rescue! Daisy has been known to bark at turtles for hours. Joey eventually rescued him and said he was no slow turtle trying to escape the madness of our yard. I am sure he will never be back.
We had our friends Conner and Becca over one night to cook out. I fell in love with this sweet angel, Caroline. She never lets out a peep. Both of my girls love her. Josie wanted to hold her (she did great) and Colbie mostly wanted to give her her paci and talk to her in her baby voice.
We also had Jamie and Brian over to cook out...bath time was a big, messy blast! Josie was sad to see Bishop go. They came over on the golf cart, and Josie waved them goodbye until you couldn't see them anymore.
A sweet little wren built a nest in Josie's bike helmet as soon as we moved in. We noticed shortly after there were eggs, so we haven't been able to close the garage. We got back from vacation to find there are babies. Josie named them Poot Sandwich, Poot Booty, and Poot Butt (Don't ask)!
They are loving their hula hoops that Aunt Tane and Uncle Paul got them. They don't quite have it figured out but love to practice! Colbie can fake it pretty good. I also got home from work one day to find Josie and RJ putting on a "performance" to music with the hoops.
Daddy and Josie
No idea why these pics look this way... phone snapshots!
Playing baseball. Josie can hit the ball when pitched to and is some kind of fast! Colbie cannot quite figure out how to hold the bat.
We were washing cars, and I found Josie had pulled her car out to wash =)
They fight over these beautiful clip-on earrings constantly.
I have more to share, but no time for now. See ya soon!
