A Disney Princess Recital

Josie was thrilled that the recital was Disney Princess themed. She was Belle for ballet and the frog from Princess and the Frog for tap.

The below pictures are actually from dress rehearsal. She was the one on the very end. Dress rehearsal was a little shaky. After her ballet performance, it was time for tap. Her tap shoes were too small with all of the layers and she had a mini meltdown. BUT she got herself together and did her tap routine as well (sans tap shoes). 

 

 

She was a professional by recital day. No tears, all smiles. I was so, so proud of her. After three years of signing up for dance and not following through... she made it! Her confidence has been so much better this year. She has such a dancers physique... I hope she sticks to it. They wouldn't allow pictures during the recital... but here are a few afterward. She had lots of visitors waiting with happies.

So proud of my ballerina... excited for next year as I will have 2 ballerinas in the recital!
