The forever anticipated Disney trip!! This was the trip rescheduled from September that the hurricane messed up! We were so happy to have both grandmothers with us... Maw Maw and Deedy!
We decided to fork out the extra dough this year to stay at the Contemporary. Liza had just turned 3, and it is just too convenient. So needless to say, a flight was not in the budget. We checked them out of school on Friday, and drove to Fort Lauderdale. The next morning, we only had a 3 hour drive.
After grabbing a bite to eat, we checked out the resort. The Contemporary is not quite as ornate as the other deluxe resorts, but you cannot beat the convenience and they had some fun games by the dock! They had a good pool, but unfortunately the one day that it was warm enough to swim we were too busy at the parks!
We had just bought the game Connect Four at home, so Liza really enjoyed this...
They evening, we had a reservation at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. We had a quick boat ride to the Fort Wilderness Camp Grounds. Waiting on our boat...
Maw Maw and a few of her girls!
The Hoop Dee Doo Revue was so much fun and hilarious. Everything was funny, down to our waiter.
Colbie asked the waiter for some more root beer, and he quickly responded finish your meal, child and stormed off. I have never seen her stick a rib in her mouth so fast. Bless it. She didn't know it was all part of the show. Josie got to play a small role in the show when one of the dancers came up and asked her where we were from. She told him, and soon the lights were shining on us and we were singing and clapping for Missississippi. She later told me that she wasn't sure if she was supposed to say Mississippi or America, and she is so glad she got it right =)
This was the perfect evening to kick off a week in Disney!!
