Colbie's 2nd birthday happened to come while we were at the beach, so we only saw it fit to have a beach birthday! After a day at the pool and beach, we fired up the grill. We had burgers, cake, and ice cream to celebrate.
Just a whole coke-a-cola to herself would have been enough of her! Oh, the look of bliss!
Ryleigh loves birthday parties. She wanted to sit by the birthday girl so bad but she was on the move!
Blowing out her candle! She did not have much force behind that blow.
Her 2 favorite accessories... sunglasses and paci!
The grill was HOT!
It took some major focus for her to stay in one spot and open presents. She wanted to play with each one as it was opened

Let's see... how to describe Colbie at 2 years old... bubbly, snuggly, show off, entertaining, hungry, and on the go!
-A few of Colbie's favorite things to do are go bye bye (anywhere you will take her), play with Josie and RJ, try on shoes (esp flip flops or high heels), wrap her babies in blankets and put them night night, her paci (we are in weaning process), playing with choo choos, singing, swimming, dancing, and saying "Glook"! which means look and doing something really goofy
- She is picky, picky, picky and is slimming down. The things she likes to eat (and about all she will eat) are Trix yogurt, pizza, spaghetti, chicken tenders, and fruit
- She loves to tell people "cute"! when they change clothes. After I get her dressed, she likes to go show daddy so he will ohhh and ahhh over her as she smiles real big
- She wears a 2t and size 7 shoe
- She isn't the best sleeper lately, and if she had it her way would sleep with mommy and daddy
- If you walk into the house, she will do whatever it takes for you to acknowledge her, which probably means scream at you "hey" in a really loud voice
- She just started to talk in short sentences around her birthday
- Mommy reads her Goodnight Moon every night and she loves the old lady whispering hush part =)
- She still sleeps and naps in her crib
- She naps about 2 hours every day after lunch and goes to bed around 8:30
I never knew I could have 2 children so different. Josie is my nurturing, shy, reserved, thoughtful little girl. Colbie has shown me a whole other world (in both good and challenging ways). She brings so much fun and laughter to this house. She is a constant source of entertainment, but it also so lovable and warm. Her smile warms my heart and lifts me up.
