We always go to Orange Beach for a long weekend in June, but this year we did something a little different. We booked our room started the Sunday before because we were in need of a vacation in a bad kind of way and couldn't wait another day!

We didn't waste any time once we got there hopping in the pool and eating ice cream sandwiches!
I am sure the hermit crabs dread us coming every year...
And the first morning there we were quick to hit the beach!
Josie has always been my beachy girl.
And Liza did way better than I expected! It took her a minute to get used to the sand but she did pretty good. She just was not a fan of the big waves... and they were huge that week!
Colbie decided she liked the beach as much as the pool this year, too

Monday was Memorial Day and we had to look the part!
We invited Pa and Deedy to come and we were able to celebrate Deedy's birthday a little late. We cooked out burgers, ate some delicious cake, and she got some good goodies!

This was the first time I ever witnessed Liza playing dolls with the big girls and it made my heart swell... Josie and Colbie love this room with twin beds.

Tuesday was spent at goofy golf and lunch at Lulu's!
And of course more swimming and crabbing...
It was a perfect start to our beach trip. It was good to spend time with Deedy and Pa at one of our favorite places!
My parents and Ryleigh arrived Wednesday around lunch but unfortunately it rained most of that day. We had no problems sitting on the river watching the rain fall down. Everything is better at the beach!
