Softball Lovin'

We were sad to see softball wrap up. These girls as well as Joey and I loved it!

Josie's team, Dirty Diamonds, were both league and tournament champs. There were 3 teams in her age group, and one of those teams was much better than us as the season started. At some point the tables turned and these girls shined! Josie really got the hang of hitting at the end of the season. I felt like she had just hit her stride when the season was wrapping up. She played 3rd base, and did pretty good at that, but her biggest asset is her speed. The girl can fly! She fit a few homers!

Colbie's team, Sweet Heat. was not league champs but they won the tournament. Colbie is so fun to watch, especially batting. Her warm up (hitting the home plate with her bat, violently) cracked us up every time. And she looooooved running through that home plate and would be sure to look for you and make sure you were looking as she did it. She played second base and her daddy helped so we saw lots of laughs and serious talks out there.

I can tell Joey really loves the softball. Of course he does, he loves the game and it is finally something he can relate too. It makes my mama and wife heart proud to see him doing something with them they all enjoy.

The last game of the season, we had to get a pic with Brad's sign! A summer full of campaigning coming up!
